Attach documents to a design

A design overview has two tabs, Data Table and Documents. The Documents tab holds reference files kept alongside the design, such as proofs, artwork, or a customer's spec sheet. The files are stored, not read by the editor.

Uploading a file

Upload opens the Upload Document modal. A file is added by dropping it on the zone marked Drop a file here or click to browse, or through Select File. Description (optional) is a free-text note saved with the file. Upload Document sends it, and the list refreshes on success.

Accepted files

The modal states the rule as PDF, Office, images, and more - max 50 MB. The accepted extensions are .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .tsv, .txt, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .webp, .svg, .bmp, .tiff, .eps and .ai. Anything else, an empty file, or a file over 50 MB is refused in the modal and never sent.

The list

Documents appear newest first in a table of File, Size, Uploaded and Actions, five to a page. The Documents heading opens a search box matching filename and description.

Downloading and deleting

The download icon saves the file under its original name. The delete icon opens

Delete Document, naming the file and warning that the action cannot be undone.

Access

Uploading requires editor access to designs; deleting requires manager. Without either, the list is still visible and files can be downloaded.
