Upload a crystal template

A crystal template defines the outline of an irregular item, so the plate matches the shape of the piece being engraved rather than a rectangle.

Supported files

SVG, EPS, and PDF, up to 10 MB.

Steps

  1. Open the design in the Plate Editor

  2. Under Shape Type in the Plate Settings panel, select Crystal

  3. Drop the file onto the upload area, or click it to browse

  4. Check the outline on the canvas once it has been applied

If the outline looks wrong

Replace runs another file through the same process. Artwork stripped back to the cut path alone gives the most predictable result.

If the file is refused

Anything that is not an SVG, EPS, or PDF is refused in the browser before the upload starts, as is a file over 10 MB. A file carrying no path or shape data is refused by the server. The reason appears under the upload area in either case.

During design creation

The same Shape Type control and upload area appear in the design creation wizards. A design set to Crystal there cannot be carried forward until a file has been uploaded.
