New Features
Set Copies for Each Data Row
Data tables now include a Copies column. Set a quantity from 1 to 500 for each row to control how many identical plates it produces.
Quantities are saved with the table and included in layout and export totals. Rows with one copy continue to produce one plate.
Control Letter Spacing and Text Fit
Text and variable elements now have letter spacing and Squeeze to Fit controls. Adjust the space between letters, or enable squeezing to reduce the width of long text.
The fit indicator shows when text still overflows at the minimum width. You can also enable Squeeze to Fit by default for new text in Store Settings under Plates.
Customize Export Labels
Choose whether export labels appear and whether they display the design name, reference ID, or both. You can also choose the label color.
Save your usual choices in Store Settings under Bed Settings, then adjust them in the bed or batch editor for a particular export.
Mark Exports as Proofs
Turn on Watermark as proof in the bed or batch editor export menu to add a diagonal watermark to exported PDF or SVG pages.
The default text is PROOF. To use your own wording, set Watermark Text in Store Settings under Bed Settings.
Assign a Material to a Design
With Material Management access, the Edit Design dialog now lets you select a material for the design. The assigned material appears on the design overview.
You can update or clear the assignment when the job changes.
Define a Custom Gutter Area
The plate gutter settings now offer an Advanced mode. Set a rectangular gutter area with its own width, height, and position when a uniform inset does not suit the artwork.
Use Simple mode when you want the same gutter distance around the plate.
Improvements
Use Multiple Files With AI
AI plate generation and data table workflows now accept multiple files in one request. Supply related references together when creating a design, parsing data, or asking AI to edit a table.
This also applies to file uploads in the design creation wizards, so you can start from information spread across several documents.
Edit Parsed Data Before Creating Designs
The data review step in the multi-design wizard now includes Edit with AI. Ask for changes, apply the result, and review the updated table before defining your designs.
You can make another edit from the same step if the table needs more work.
Read Word Documents in AI Requests
When you attach a DOCX file to a supported AI workflow, its paragraphs and table contents are now included in the information AI reads.
For an older DOC file, save it as DOCX or PDF before uploading.
Create Crystal Designs in the Multi-Design Wizard
The multi-design wizard now lets you choose Crystal as a shape type and upload a crystal template during design setup.
The template supplies the outline and dimensions. The wizard prompts you to provide the template before launching the crystal design.
Preview Different Text Lengths and Data Rows
The plate editor preview now offers Longest, Median, Average, and Shortest modes. These use representative values from each column to help you check how different text lengths affect the layout.
Use Select Row to preview an actual record, then move through neighboring rows to check individual plates.
Edit Fallback Text Inline
Fallback expressions are now editable inline in the dynamic text editor. Change the primary value and fallback without separating them from the rest of the line.
The editor also identifies variable names that are missing from the data table, helping you spot references that need attention.
Review Imported Templates Before Creating Them
File imports now finish at a review step before creating a design template. Inspect the preview, choose a name, and review detected variables and font substitutions.
You can change substituted fonts before selecting Create template, giving you a chance to correct the result before it enters your template library.
Give Your Team Access to Design Templates
Team members with view access to Designs can now browse and open design templates. Those with edit access can create, import, edit, and rename templates.
Deleting a template remains limited to members with manager access.
Better Preservation of Reference Layouts
AI plate generation now distinguishes custom layouts from designs that need automatic arrangement. This helps preserve intentional arrangements, such as side-by-side content, instead of automatically rearranging every result.
Generated layouts still need review, particularly when fitting the reference to a different plate size.
Record Material Usage in Set Increments
Materials now support an optional Usage Increment. Quick Record uses that increment to prefill and step the transaction quantity.
Leave the increment unset when you prefer to enter quantities freely.
Track Export Activity in Analytics
Analytics now includes export activity for the selected store and date range. Review how many plates were exported, the number of export runs, and the daily breakdown by format.
Export tracking starts with this release; earlier exports are not backfilled. These figures describe exports, rather than confirmed physical production.
Find Your Most Active Designs
The Most Active Designs panel lists designs with the most activity during the selected date range. Each entry includes its activity count, most recent activity, and a link to the design.
See Which Materials Need Restocking
For stores with a materials subscription, Analytics now lists the materials below their minimum stock level instead of only showing a total count.
The list shows available and minimum quantities with the unit of measure, prioritizing the items furthest below their minimum.
Trim the Last Exported Page
The bed and batch editors now offer Trim last page. It reduces the final exported page to the space occupied by its contents plus the material margins, making partial pages easier to run on smaller sheets.
In the single-design bed editor, this applies when the layout overflows onto additional pages.
Select Artwork by Touching It With the Selection Box
Dragging a selection box now selects elements it touches. Hold Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac while dragging when you want to select only elements fully enclosed by the box.
Bug Fixes
More Consistent Text in the Editor and Exports
Text rendering now uses more consistent font measurements in the editor and export paths. This corrects baseline shifts that could place text higher or lower in a PDF or SVG than it appeared on the canvas.
Export handling also better preserves text formatting, including letter spacing and font styles.
Use a Fallback When a Font Cannot Load
When an export cannot load a requested font, it now attempts to use a fallback instead of immediately omitting that text.
Check the result when a font has been substituted, because a different font can change the appearance and fit.
Keep Embedded Images in Saved SVG Artwork
Saving SVG artwork could previously remove its embedded bitmap images. Supported embedded image data is now retained so those images remain part of the saved artwork.
Import Crystal Outlines Made From Basic Shapes
Crystal uploads no longer reject an SVG solely because its outline uses basic shapes, such as rectangles, circles, or polygons, instead of drawn paths.
Those shapes are converted into an outline the crystal template importer can use.
Save and Copy Gutter Settings Reliably
Gutter defaults saved in Store Settings are now retained correctly. Previously, those settings could appear to save without being stored.
Duplicating a design also carries its gutter settings into the copy, reducing the need to re-enter them.
Refresh Stock After Quick Record
After you record an inventory transaction through Quick Record, the Materials page refreshes its stock data. You no longer need to reload the page to see that transaction reflected in the displayed quantities.
Correct Analytics Date Ranges Near Month End
The Last Month date preset could select the wrong dates when used on a day that did not exist in the preceding month. It now selects the first and last day of the correct month.
Custom date selections are also ordered consistently when the end date is picked before the start date.
Keep the Editor Open After a Save Failure
If saving fails, the plate editor now shows an inline message while keeping your current work in the editor. Previously, a save error could replace the canvas with an error screen.
Your changes still need a successful save before you leave the page.
Avoid Incomplete Oversized Batch Exports
Batch layouts that exceed the supported bed limit now stop with a clear message. Previously, a batch could return an export with trailing plates missing.
Reduce the batch size or use a larger bed before exporting again.
