Plate editor tour

The Plate Editor is where you design how your plates/pieces will look. You can adjust text positioning, change fonts and colors, and preview how the longest text will appear .

The Plate Editor defines the layout of a single item. That layout is then reused for every row of the data table, so one plate produces the whole run.

Elements

Text, variables, shapes, images, and ornaments are all placed from the left toolbar. Once placed, an element can be moved, resized, and rotated, and its properties edited in the right panel.

Static text is the same on every item. A variable changes per row, drawing from a column in the data table. See Variables.

Plate shape

A plate is rectangular by default. Irregular items use a crystal shape, defined by an uploaded outline. See Upload a crystal template.

Checking the result

Preview Mode replaces variables with real values and shows the longest entry in the data. See Preview a plate with real data.
