Sort, filter, and reorder rows

Every column header in the data table carries a funnel button, whose tooltip reads Sort & Filter. It opens the same dropdown in view mode and in edit mode.

Sorting

A-Z and Z-A sort the whole table by that column. One column sorts at a time, marked by an arrow in the header. Numbers compare numerically, other values as text, ignoring capitalization.

Empty cells collect at the end under A-Z and at the start under Z-A.

Sorting reorders every row, including rows an active filter is hiding.

Filtering

The dropdown lists the column's distinct values as checkboxes, blanks shown as (empty).

The Search Box narrows the list, Select All and Deselect All switch the visible values in bulk, and Clear removes the column's filter.

At most 200 values are listed; the rest are reached by searching.

Temporary against permanent order

Sorting and filtering in view mode are display only; nothing is written to the design.

Stored row order decides which row is engraved on which plate, so changing it permanently means Edit, then the sort, then Save. Cancel discards the reorder.

Saving requires editor or manager permission on Designs.

Filtering hides rows rather than deleting them: a save writes the full table, hidden rows included.
