6.1 Managing Your User Settings

Your User Settings is where you manage your personal account information, view your organization memberships, and check notifications. This guide walks you through everything you can do in this area.

Accessing User Settings

To access your User Settings, click the person icon at the bottom of the sidebar. This opens your personal settings page where you can manage your profile, view organizations you belong to, and check notifications.

Profile Tab

The Profile tab displays your account information and all the organizations and stores you have access to.

Account Details

The Account Details section shows your personal information:

  • Name – Your display name in EtchExpress

  • Email – The email address associated with your account

  • Username – Your unique identifier in the system

Editing Your Account Details

To update your account information:

  1. Click the edit icon (pencil) in the top-right corner of the Account Details section

  2. A verification code will be sent to your email address

  3. Enter the 6-digit code in the verification boxes

  4. Click Verify to confirm your identity

  5. Make your changes and save

πŸ’‘ Tip: Didn't receive the code? Click "Send again" to request a new verification code. Check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox.

Changing Your Password

To update your password:

  1. Click the "Change Password" button in the Account Details section

  2. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email

  3. Enter the code and click Verify

  4. Enter your new password and confirm

Organizations & Stores

Below your account details, you'll see a list of all the organizations and stores you have access to. The header shows the total count of organizations you belong to.

Each organization entry shows:

  • Organization name

  • Number of stores within that organization

Click on any organization to expand it and see the individual store locations. Click on a store to navigate to that store's settings.

Joining an Organization

If you need to join a new organization:

  1. Click the "Join" button in the top-right of the Organizations & Stores section

  2. Enter the Organization ID provided by your administrator

  3. Click "Send Request" to submit your join request

An administrator from that organization will need to approve your request before you gain access.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Organization administrators can find the Organization ID in Store Settings. Ask your admin to share this ID with you.

Alerts Tab

The Alerts tab displays notifications relevant to your account. Click the "Alerts" tab at the top of the User Settings page to view your notifications.

When there are no notifications, you'll see "No notifications" displayed in this section. Notifications will appear here when there are updates or actions that require your attention.
