After creating a design, you’ll land on the Design Detail page where you can review, edit, and manage all your recipient data before sending it to the Plate Editor. This guide covers everything you can do with the Data Table.

Design Detail Page Overview

The Design Detail page shows:

  • Design Information — Your design name, reference ID, created/updated timestamps, and status

  • Status Dropdown — Track your workflow stage (Draft, In Progress, Review, Approved, Completed)

  • Plate Editor Button — Jump to the visual plate editor (top right, purple button)

  • Settings Gear Icon — Opens the Edit Design modal to update the design name, reference ID, or notes

  • Two Tabs:

    • Data Table — Your recipient data (names, awards, etc.)

    • Documents — Uploaded source files

Editing Design Information

Click the gear icon in the top right of the Design Information section to open the Edit Design modal. Here you can update:

  • Name — The design name (e.g., “Swim Team Awards 2026”)

  • Reference ID (optional) — Your order or PO number for tracking

  • Notes (optional) — Internal notes about the job

Click Update Design to save your changes, or Cancel to discard.

Viewing Your Data Table

The Data Table displays all your extracted recipient data in a spreadsheet-style grid. Each column represents a data field (e.g., Award, Region, Name) and each row represents one plate/recipient.

The table name appears above the grid (e.g., “Remax Engraving Data”). Each column header includes a filter icon that lets you filter the table by specific values in that column.

Editing Your Data

To enter edit mode, click the Edit button in the top right of the data table area.

In edit mode you’ll see:

  • Editable cells — Click any cell to type directly into it

  • Delete row (×) — Appears at the end of each row to remove it

  • Add Column (+) — A “+” button at the far right of the header row lets you add new columns

  • Remove Column (×) — An “×” on each column header lets you delete that column

  • Add Row (+ Row) — A button at the bottom of the table lets you add new rows

  • Save / Cancel — Use Save to commit your changes or Cancel to discard them

Tips for Editing

  • Click a cell to select it, then start typing to edit

  • Use arrow keys to navigate between cells

  • Press Enter to confirm a cell edit and move to the next match (when searching)

  • Press Del to clear a cell’s contents

  • Press Esc to exit the current cell or close a panel

Find & Replace

Find & Replace lets you search for specific text across your entire data table and optionally replace it - perfect for bulk corrections like fixing a misspelled award name or updating a category.

How to Use Find & Replace

  1. In edit mode, click the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the top right toolbar.

  2. The Find bar appears above the table with two fields:

  • Find — Type your search term (e.g., “100”)

  • Replace — Type the replacement text (e.g., “90”)

  1. The match counter shows how many results were found (e.g., “1/10” means you’re on match 1 of 10).

  2. Matching cells are highlighted in yellow so you can see exactly what will be affected.

  3. Click Find to jump to the next match.

  4. Click Replace to replace the current match and advance to the next one.

  5. Click All to replace every match in the table at once.

  6. Click the × to close the Find bar.
