Opening a Design

Simply click any row to open that design. You'll go directly to the Design Detail page where you can view the data table, edit the plate layout, or continue working on the job.

Finding the Design You Need

Click the Designs dropdown (shows a number indicating total designs) at the top left to access powerful search and filter options:

Search by Keyword

Type any word to search across design names, notes, and reference IDs. Great for finding a specific customer or order.

Filter by Status

Show only designs with a specific status. For example, filter to "In Progress" to see all active jobs, or "Completed" to review finished work.

Show Archived Designs

Toggle this option to include archived designs in your list. Useful when you need to find an old job that was archived after completion.

Sorting Your List

Click any column header to sort the list by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order. For example, click "Updated" to see your most recently modified designs at the top.

Quickly Updating Status

You can change a design's status without opening it. Just click the status dropdown in any row and select a new status. This is handy for quickly marking jobs as complete or moving them through your workflow.

Creating a New Design

Click + New Design in the top right corner to start a new design. This opens the same creation form as the Home screen.

Archiving Old Designs

To archive a design you no longer need in your active list:

  1. Click the status dropdown for that design

  2. Select Archived

  3. The design will be hidden from your default view

Archived designs aren't deleted β€” you can always find them later by enabling "Show Archived" in the filter options.

Deleting a Design

To permanently delete a design, you two options:

  1. Click the trash can icon on the rightmost column of the design table

  2. Click into design open to the Design Detail page, navigate to the settings icon, then use the delete option there.

Tip: This cannot be undone, so archiving is usually the safer choice for old jobs you might need to reference later.

Clone a Design

Click into design to open the Design Detail page, navigate to the settings icon, then select the "Clone" option. You will then be prompted to rename the cloned design & change the Reference ID.

Working with Repeat Customers

The Designs page is especially valuable for repeat customers who need the same specifications:

  • Use clear naming: Include the customer or organization name in your design titles

  • Add reference IDs: Link designs to your PO or order numbers for easy lookup

  • Use notes: Add customer preferences or special instructions in the notes field

  • Keep completed jobs: Archive instead of delete so you can reference exact settings for reorders

  • Copy Existing templates: No need to recreate existing templates from scratch

Navigating Long Lists

If you have many designs, you'll see page numbers at the bottom (e.g., "Page 1 of 2"). Use the arrows to move between pages.
