An organization holds a shop's stores and the people who work in them. Multi-location operations run one organization containing several stores.
What lives where
Level | Holds |
Organization | Stores, members, and their roles |
Store | Designs, materials, settings, and its own plan |
Permissions are granted per store, so a person can work in one location without seeing another. See Roles and permissions.
Adding people
Two routes exist, and they start from opposite ends.
Invitation. An owner or administrator invites someone by email or username from Organization Settings. The invitation shows as pending until accepted, and can be cancelled before then.
Request to join. Someone with an account requests to join an organization themselves. The request arrives as pending and an owner or administrator approves or rejects it.
Managing members
The members list shows everyone in the organization, their role, and pending invitations. From here an owner or administrator can change a role, set which stores a person belongs to, and remove someone entirely.
Removing a member ends their access to every store in the organization.
Stores and locations
Stores are listed under the organization, each with its own settings, materials, and plan. A locations map shows stores that have an address recorded, which is useful for operations spread across several sites.
